Only a few months after her delivery, Keri Russell managed to lose weight swiftly. Not only does she claim to be naturally slender, but she has also found innovative ways to stay in shape.

One of our favorite actresses and a mother of three can be seen as struggling monsters in her latest movie. However, in real life, she likes to keep things under control. Though she is naturally thin, pregnancy, of course, would have been one of the reasons she needed to do the workout.

What is Keri Russell’s workout moto?

When it comes to diet and workout routine, Keri likes to go flexible and anti-routine. She says that strict diets are just not her style. She is a physical person and is the happiest while working out. However, there’s no fixed routine for that. She tries to eat wherever she likes while making sure that it’s healthy. Similarly, she practices exercise that she likes and whenever she wants to do that.

For the most part of her exercise, she loves to go on a tough bike ride. Or she just dances around her home with her favorite music on loud. Keri says she’ll go to the gym and exercise using one band her trainer taught her 20 years ago. This seems all fun, doesn’t it?

What was the key to getting herbody back so fast?

During her pregnancy, she was very active. The secret to her quick transformation was her consistency. Except for the stomach exercises and twisting, she persisted in her regular pre-pregnancy regimen. It made a significant difference in her overall well-being. Above all, she is determined to do an hour of pilates every other day.

She walked in the hilly park near her apartment almost every morning. She ran two laps, or 20 minutes, at a good pace, arms pumping throughout. In only a few months of her training, she felt very healthy and energized. Above all, she was proud of her expanding figure.

Funny how she calls her exercise pattern a ‘nerdy workout’ blended with a personalized soundtrack. Her usual workout plan consists of doing physical activities in her walk-through closet. Basically doing this regularly helps her stay slim and incredibly toned up.

Is she back to her pre-baby weight already?

She had probably gained about 25 pounds. Though she hasn’t lost it completely, she is pleased with her appearance. Thighs have become less toned for her. Her shoulders and arms, on the other hand, are in good shape now. She says that one gets some really toned upper arms from all that baby lifting and carrying.

Has she resumed her workout routine?

She now doesn’t have as much time to do workouts as she used to do before giving birth. However, she ensures to walk everywhere. Though it is more like an all-day stroll through the park, coffee shop, laundromat, and not her targeted power walk. She walks a lot while going on to the grocery store, and subway stairs, all while carrying a baby.

Babies may appear little, but within an hour, she says they become quite heavy! Also, once a week, she attempts to attend a private pilates lesson. She further mentions noticing some overall toning that she can perceive. She says if she could make it more than once a week, she’d notice better benefits.

Has she made any dietary changes?

Keri’s generally a healthy eater. She says that she eats a lot, however in smaller portions. Whenever she is shooting or working, it’s a must for her to eat at short intervals. Otherwise, it makes her feel like out of energy. Thus, we can say that Keri, when it comes to diet, hardly follows any rule except drinking a lot of water. However, pregnancy surely would have brought some constraints.

Of course, with a newborn who requires regular attention, it becomes difficult to sit down and prepare a healthy meal. Hence, for breakfast, she simply puts him in the sling and walks to the coffee shop to get eggs, bread, and salad. Whereas while he sleeps, she just eats anything she can find at home.

So, it’s mostly like cereal and a tuna fish when she says ‘anything’. Or she just eats the cold leftover Middle Eastern food from the previous night. Since she breastfeeds, Keri makes an effort to eat something healthy unlike other than brownies throughout the day. She tries to include nutritious foods. She takes vitamins and has developed a taste for vegetables in recent years.

How does she maintain a healthy body image?

Since she’s naturally skinny, she doesn’t have to put in a lot of effort. She enjoys cooking as much as she enjoys working out. It makes everything operate better, in her opinion. However, she believes that being around cool people is beneficial. She has a lot of fantastic girlfriends, and no one seems to be too much concerned about her appearance.

Also, while revealing the secret to her healthy and happy body, Keri believes that it comes naturally. She considers herself a physical person and is at her best when she works out. When it’s moving and pumping everywhere, it automatically gives her the hit. Thus, working out and eating healthy is the most important thing for her.
